About Me:
I have lived in Rotorua all my life and was first introduced to biking as a young child through bmx and kids mtb racing at Waipa. My love for Mountain Biking grew as I got older and I began racing at a young age in events such as the Nduros, school races and the club rats duathlons. My first year competing in the NZMTB cup north island rounds, was 2011 as an u17 rider. This year 2012 although, was my first year competing in the whole series including both the rounds in the North Island and the south Island, as well as national champs, as a first year u19 rider. I won the NZMTB cup series and placed 3rd in National Champs. I then went on to become u19 women's Oceania Champ, which was held in Rotorua in March this year. From there I was selected for the NZ mtb team, I decided this year instead of competing in the World Champs, to first gain some experience and compete in 2 world cups held in Mont Sainte Anne, Canada and Windham, Usa. This was an amazing experience and I ended up placing 3rd U19 in both races, which have been my biggest achievements so far. I am really excited for the upcoming Mtb season and being a part of the NZXC race team (:
